Here below is an influence that had an effect on our ideas to make our opening sequence better. This is part of our research section. This is a different type of reasearch in contrast to the rest because it is not a film its a video having the same aspects to some extent.
In the opening few minutes we have the main character Amira sitting down looking in front of the mirror. We would like to use this in our opening sequence as it may show how our character may reflect on her life or as she may dream sitting in front of a mirror wanting to become the famous dancer as she so has dedicated herself for.
Another reason why we have used this is because the use of the props. In the video we also see Amira surrounded by different props such as Mirror, hairbrush, lamp, perfume, scarfs etc. In this video it is used to reprent her feminism and how she is a princess in which as you watch further down in the video her dad spoils her rotton. We could interpret this into our film by using the same props not because she is spoilt rotten but wants to be spoilt rotten but her mum just gives her what she wants because she doesn't really care for her hence we will try to show this through her body language that she is a young vulnerable girl.
